Who will I be working with?

Platts Agriculture Limited is a market-leading UK manufacturer and supplier of quality animal bedding and cubicle conditioner products for the agricultural industry. Celebrating our 50th Anniversary , our family-owned business supplies farmers throughout the UK and Ireland. Based at our Production Facility, one of our 3 sites in Llay, Wrexham, you’ll be joining our diverse team, some who’ve been part of our company since the very beginning!

What will this role of Production Operative entail?

As Production Operative, you’ll join a close-knit team working within a busy production environment, operating fork lift trucks and carrying out a range of duties to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the state of the art turn key manufacturing facility.


What will I need to be considered for this Production Operative vacancy?

Proven experience of working within a production / manufacturing role

Experience of operating fork lift trucks, with a valid counterbalance forklift training certificate

Superb time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, but ‘ambitious’ environment

Ability to work unsupervised on own initiative as well as part of a team

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels

High level of attention to detail, with creative problem-solving skills

A self-motivated and proactive approach, with a desire to succeed

Salary: Earning potential up to £33,500 per annum for the right candidate.

Hours of Work: An average of 46 hours per week, 3 teams working the following shift pattern:-

Week 1 – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday nights

week 2 – Monday, Tuesday nights followed by Thursday Friday days

week 3 – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday days, then Saturday Sunday days

Contract Type: Permanent
