The third Monday of January- it’s said to be the most depressing day of the year. Not what any of us want to hear right now.   But keep reading… it gets better!

It’s cold and dark, pennies might be tight and maybe we’ve given up on the ‘less chocolate and booze’ resolutions already. But with “36% of the entire farming community reported to have described themselves as “probably” or “possibly” depressed” (Farmers Weekly, 20 October 2021) it’s no trivial matter.

With Coronavirus still impacting our daily lives, affecting businesses of all sizes, families, communities and countries, it can all be a little overwhelming. Don’t forget, Blue Monday isn’t scientifically proven to be sad – it’s just another day. But it’s a good excuse to open up a conversation about mental health with those you know.

So here’s a reminder of some places and people to turn to when it all gets a bit much…  and we hope your blue Monday turns out to be not so blue afterall.
