Despite the rain, they made it the 80 miles to Bala and back- with the help of some friendly neighbours and cheered on by colleagues, friends and family!

“Thanks to your generous donations, we’ve raised almost £1500 – which has all gone directly to The DPJ Foundation to support those impacted by poor mental health in rural communities with counselling, training and a 24/7 helpline.

We should’ve been cycling 80 miles as part of a team at the Tour of Pembrokeshire in aid of the DPJ Foundation, in Summer 2020- so when it was postponed for the second time, we decided to do our own cycle closer to home – in thanks of the already pledged donations.

A special mention goes to some of our suppliers, who generously sponsored the ride:

And of course- to Platts Agriculture Limited, who kindly matched our funding when we reached £500, on behalf of all our colleagues. Thank you for every penny!”

Roughly 1 person a week, in the agricultural sector commits suicide. This number is far too high and we all need to work together to combat this crisis. At Platts, we speak with farmers and those in the agricultural industry every day- and we understand the pressures it brings. The money you’ve raised has gone towards the helping the DPJ foundation continue with its amazing work; offering education, raising awareness and providing support for those in need and in assisting them to reaching the goal of normalising mental health in agriculture.
