National Stress Awareness Day

It’s National Stress Awareness Day, and stress may manifest itself both physically and emotionally in a variety of ways. The purpose of National Stress Awareness Day is to raise awareness of some of the ways that stress may negatively impact anyone and what you can do to manage your stress before it becomes a problem.

Sometimes little stress has its benefits. It may inspire you to take action or energise you! However, excessive stress can have detrimental impacts on your body, mind, and relationships.

Our Group Head of HR Nerys recently completed her QA Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF), through the course held by the Hive Collaborative. This certification is intended for those who want to increase mental health awareness, learn the best ways to support others, and refer co-workers to qualified assistance.

It’s important for us as a growing business to have members of our team able to support one another. Well done Nerys!

Whilst taking care of our own physical health is crucial, many of us may not know how to support family members, loved ones, or even co-workers, or ourselves when experiencing poor mental health. Mental health is equally as important as physical health. Nerys said it was a great 2 days run by Dr. Emma Poyner who was fabulous, and she would recommend anyone who is thinking about attending the course to do it!
