In this customer testimonial, we meet Philip Steans, Farm & Estate Manager at Wiltshire College who tell us about his success using our Finebed cubicle conditioner.

Hear about his results from moving from a loose housing system to a cubicle set up with mattresses topped with our premium product.

Read all about it below…

Prior to 2020, Wiltshire College operated a loose housing system and expressed concerns about the potential challenges of transitioning cows to cubicles.

However, with the introduction of mattresses and our Finebed cubicle conditioner, they report that the cows have adapted “like an absolute dream.”

The college has been using our products for over four years and has recorded only approximately 10 cases of mastitis during this time.

Philip describes Platts as offering first-class service with reliable delivery and a product that is consistently high-quality and easy to work with.

Finebed Cubicle Conditioner

This is one of our most popular cubicle conditioner products, designed to be used as a drying agent.

The grains are screened to 3mm or less to achieve an ultra-soft consistency, ensuring that your cows are always kept comfortable. Finebed’s particles are highly absorbent, keeping your herd’s environment hygienic throughout the day.

Philip and his team at Wiltshire College choose our baled Finebed product, which is easy to handle. As Philip says, re-bedding takes him just 20 minutes, making the process quick and efficient!

Bales are a great way to monitor usage – only one coffee cup per cubicle is required. Since the product is so fine, you can expect to use one bale for 50 cubicles.
